Well........Its been a great year for us at DB Records and although it has been VERY hard work, It has been great fun! This is our last instalment of 2009 and we thought, for a change, We will go much harder than usual for this one!!
XIM N BASS Hail from the South of Spain, DJ XIM and Frank Bass are XIM & BASS, Owners of the Radik - All crew. Nine years ago they were playing gabber, but that gave way to the nasty Sound of breaks. (They were converted after being rocked by a Chris Carter set.) Four years ago they immersed themselved in Spain's breaks scene, Playing sets every weekend alongside some of the top worldwide brass.Already co-owning a brand new spanish breakbeat internet community and forums http://www.radik-all.com while running a new label AUDIOGORE, Which has won support from the likes of VENT, SPECIMEN A & AFGHAN HEADSPIN
CRITICAL Hails from Victoria, British Columbia Canada and is the kind of guy who just NEEDS to make music! A lot of people talk about music as a drug, but few bare physical representations of that metaphor. He's pale and thin from spending every available hour in his room producing, DJing, or just reading about music. A habit so bad it has worried friends and family from time to time, but like a real drug addict he barely seems to notice. He probably looked a bit like a refugee when he was climbing around in a garbage pile looking for his first turn table seven years ago. He found it, and started his DJing career with two belt driven turntables, two amplifiers, and no mixer. Fast forward five years, and countless hours in the studio, Jaime landed his first residency at Victoria's premiere electronica night club – two years before he is legally allowed to drink there!! An early member of the Victoria based collective Break Beat Island, With his first release (Malpractice bootleg) gaining him support from the likes of Anti-Science, White Papoo, MKM, Influenza, and Pete Samplers, Not to mention XIM N BASS, Hence why this partnership has taken place! Critical has gone from strength to strength since then and has several releases out there right now and im sure we'll be treated to a few more folowing this little ditty!
'Believe' Not only takes a much heavier route to what you may be used to from us, but it is very much from the darker realms of Breakbeat! Its Rolling drums mixed with haunting pads and filthy Bass that makes you wanna go and wash yourself after every listen has so far seen support coming from Mars, Annie Nightingale, Curl & Dean & Yoof Sonz Of Mecha
IITONE REMIX This guy came on to the scene properly in 2008 and has seen many of his releases snapped up by some top labels! His album 'Clean Living in a Dirty Age' Which includes Dusted Breaks first ever relase 'Crush' has so far become one of the best Break Beat albums of 2009 and this remix is arguably his best remix work to date!! Its a little more moodier than the original but keeps that rolling edge and relentless Bassface stylee! Support coming from Schema, Far Too Loud & Bill Vega to name but a few.
NUDE REMIX These guys are an up and coming band from Frankfurt in Germany. Their roots lie with Drum & Bass, but they have been known to create some rather nasty but tasty Breakbeats in their fairly short history! They have gained great support in their home country through tireless touring and promoting their music and their label Sabotage Concept. Their version of this keeps it in the same vein as the original but you can definitely spot the drum and bass influence as it takes a more tearout twist when the beat drops and some may even say that this is heavier and nastier than the original! TEAROUT CREW BEWARE!!!
ZERO B REMIX Zero B recently made a producing come back with his Co-owned label Westway and We are very proud to be the next in line to get this guy's talents involved in our label! Many will remember the hardcore classic 'Lock Up' which sent shivers down the illegal rave community back in the early nineties and to this day can be heard in most classic 'core' sets and sits nicely in the top 10 classics of all time! His remix of 'Believe' though is nothing short of Genre Splitting! It kicks off with a Dubstep intro that takes you into the zone and then the rhythmic build holds you there nicely until the bass starts growling and slams you back into a kind of broken 4/4 groove. The 2nd break is just deadly!! Any of you that know 'Lock Up' will no doubt spot certain familiar sounds mashed up in this remix! Notable support coming from Kickflip

REFRACTURE is 22 year old Breaks and Electro House producer Paul Dobson From Ipswich,UK. Refracture is renowned for emotional and uplifting dance music. His unique sound and energy has got him support from some of the worlds biggest djs including Jay Cunning & The Crystal Method.
Paul started producing at the age of 15, where he experimented with different sounds and production techniques until he eventually formed the 'Refracture' sound in 2008, combining his love of breaks with his addiction to deep melodies. 2009 has been the year where Refracture has begun to break-through onto the scene though, with a string of successful releases including several top 10's on beatport, a number 1 on trackitdown, aswell as featuring on Ronski Speed Compilation album: Positive Ways and gaining support from national radio station Kiss Fm! ETERNAL has an uplifting progressive vibe to it in true Refractured style! His signature beat, mixed with a huge trance breakdown and build up that will have you thirsty for more, has won over support from some truly great names in the industry, including plays on Jay Cunnings Kiss FM show and full playing support from The Crystal Method I got to say the original is my fave! Good driving beats and cutting synths. Cool stuff. Thanks. Scott - The Crystal Method MR NO HANDS REMIX This little ditty has really seen a lot of promo plays over the last 4 weeks, From some massive names, and we at Dusted Breaks are not surprised! Mr No Hands Clean production work (as usual) and the asolutely mental head nodding and funky vibe that this remix carries, has had people bouncing off the walls!! Many of the same big names have made comments about this being, Possibly his best work to date and we are not gonna disagree! This is a huge remix, definitely No hands best remix to date, dropped this last Saturday at Infectious Breaks and it received a great reaction from the crowd! Top work Dave! Following our last two Breaks/Electro House crossover tracks from the J*O*K*R boys Salad Shaker & Dr.Oetker, We bring you the 3rd and final Dusted installment in the musical love affair with these very talented producers from the South of England.
'On Point' fuses a heavy mixture of Broken Electro Fidget House, with that killa trademark J*O*K*R bassline wobble! It then teases and tantilizes the floor with a very dubstep influenced break and strong vocal stab that lingers throughout! This has so far seen full support from the likes of KICKFLIP & MAELSTROM MYAGI'S REMIX falls into the deeper realms of Breakbeat, but keeps a funky edge to it. That, mixed with the shear fatness and great use of synths, Makes this is a must for the peak time! This remix followed Myagi out to Oz for his recent tour and won the support of several big name DJ's, including two legend's in the world of Electronic Dance Music!
Myagi Remix Is Slammin!! - (Lee Coombs - lot49) Really like the Myagi Remix of On Point. Big Room Breaks action for sure! - (Scott - The Crystal Method)
JAY STEWART'S REMIX Starts off with with some wicked percussion and builds into a rolling Funked up monster of a track! It is arguably even deeper that the myagi remix in places and is definitely something a little different from the man they call 'Refunk'
Notable support comes from the likes of Jimmy Mofo - The Beat Asassins, D*funk & Far Too Loud
JOEBOT takes a heavy influence from Dubstep, but always keeps true to his Breakbeat roots for this remix! Everything runs along nice and smooth and then BOOOM!! A bassline that would make even the strongest of men lose control of their bowels!! This track is dancefloor friendly to say the least and it is strongly advised to keep it very loud in the club! Support coming from Mobius, Duane Barry and The Wrongstar Society
UDY is a local DJ/producer from Portsmouth, UK (Home town of Dusted Breaks) and is quickly establishing himself as a very decent House producer indeed! This remix is in the form of Electro House but keeps the crossover going nicely, just like the original, But with its punchy kicks and dirty ass basslines, This will surely destroy all dancefloors in its path!! This paticular remix has gone through the roof for us, in terms of DJ Support. This has the full support of AQUASKY, HEXADECIMAL, RICHIE BALBOA and along with the Jay Stewart remix, Gets the thumbs from FAR TOO LOUD

Well, We at Dusted Breaks have reached a milestone, with the first LP in our very short history! This is also a first for IITone himself and after a great year with releases on Standard Audio and a collaboration of himself and steelzawheelz, Which came out on Brighton Breaks, Not to mention breaking our cherry with DBR001 ‘Crush’ back in March, Tops off an amazin 2009 with his eagerly awaited LP ‘Clean Living In A Dirty Age’
This 10 track album is a mixture of Breaks, Dubstep, Trip Hop and a little bit of House thrown in too! It has so far won support from THE BEAT ASSASINS & HEXADECIMAL and was recently featured on Hexadecimal’s brand new promo mix. The release includes 2 collaborations with Junglist turned Dub luvver Embee, and a seriously talented newcomer in the form of vocalist Mela Busby, who lends her great skills to the trip hop track ‘This Town’s Not Massive Enough’ Those, mixed with some dancefloor destroyers of great proportion, Makes this album a must for any Breaks/Dubstep fan, and from what we heard on the promo grapevine, Everybody is loving this release!!
